LEGO® BRICKLINK S6 - The Art Factory

-Folding Building Design: The building can be displayed opened or closed. In both cases, the exterior looks complete and detailed as if it had been conceived without this double function.

-Working Elevator: The elevator works with a mechanism that allows you to bring it up, down or stop it at any level.

-Industrial Style Windows: I’ve used an industrial window technique using garage roller doors sections.

About The Project

The idea of a repurposed building has always seduced to me as a LEGO fan designer. In this case, an old factory-style building has been converted into an art centre in which takes place many different art activities on its different levels.

Four years ago, I’ve submitted to LEGO Ideas the first version of this design which I called ‘The Art Centre’, it successfully achieved 10,000 supports but it doesn’t go through the review phase. Now, I’ve rebuilt it from scratch, introducing many improvements both in aesthetics and functionalities. For this Series 6 I’ve redesigned columns, sidewalks and improve many sections from the Series 5 version. In the final product you’ll find three new storage spaces under the ground floor to hold a whole extra range of alternative art pieces.
